Maharashtra has recently reported 154 new cases of COVID-19, along with two unfortunate deaths attributed to the virus. These deaths occurred in the cities of Mumbai and Nagpur, as stated by a health official.
The state has also seen a rise in cases of the JN.1 variant, with the count now at 139. Out of the new COVID-19 cases, 21 were reported in Mumbai.
Health officials conducted a total of 14,790 coronavirus tests on the day. This testing included 12,369 Rapid Antigen Tests and 2,421 RT-PCR tests.
Encouragingly, Maharashtra’s recovery rate from COVID-19 is high, at 98.17%. However, the fatality rate is currently at 1.81%. The positivity rate, which is the percentage of tests that return positive out of the total conducted, stands at 1.04%.
