Famous actor Amitabh Bachchan had to go to the hospital and had a procedure called angioplasty. He was taken to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Friday, March 15. Reports say he arrived with a lot of security.
The surgery was not on his heart, but on a clot in his leg. Bachchan shared a brief message on social media to thank everyone. He wrote, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever.”
The 81-year-old had the angioplasty at Kokilaben Hospital, but we don’t have many details about how he’s doing yet.
Earlier, he posted a video with his son Abhishek Bachchan on social media, talking about his recent appearance at an ISPL match. He said, “T 4950 – Aankh kholke dekh lo, kaan lagake sun lo, Majhi Mumbai ki hogi Jai Jaikaar, yeh baat ab maanlo.”
Bachchan has had many health problems over the years, making him an icon for managing illness. He had Hepatitis B in 2000 and was surviving with just 25% of his liver. In 1982, he was declared ‘clinically dead’ after an accident on a film set. He also battled myasthenia gravis, gastro issues, diverticulitis of the small intestine, and tuberculosis of the spine.
